Pittwater House

The clients had purchased a waterfront block with iconic northerly views and lawns rolling down to the sea and were keen sailors with a boat at the end of the jetty.  The street entrance was planned for effect with no windows visible and an entrance porch located at the side of the house. Outside terrace doors slide into cavities to enlarge the rooms and the wrought iron elements were designed with a nautical theme. The stair balustrade is reminiscent of a nautical rope and stair panels designed in a shell motif. The entry gates from the street and the garden gate to the front door have twisted iron bars representing vines and foliage to enhance the magnificent garden setting.
